The Rocky Horror Show
On the 50th anniversary of Richard O’Brien’s cult classic musical, the Hilo Community Players are bringing The Rocky Horror Show back to life with an electrifying new production at The Keawe Theater this October.
This outrageous rock ’n’ roll musical—first bursting onto the stage in 1973—has thrilled audiences for five decades with its wild blend of sci-fi parody, campy horror, and show-stopping rock numbers. Now, the tradition continues as the Hilo Community Players invite audiences into the castle to do the Time Warp and celebrate the legacy of Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show.
Featuring Bridge Hartman as the iconic Frank N. Furter, Sarah Elliott as Janet Weiss, Sean Douglas as Brad Majors, Michael Caputo as Rocky Horror, Lucille Valentine as Columbia, Eddie Sauceda as Magenta, Zayne Paresa as Riff-Raff, Molly McGivern as Dr. Scott, Jessica Smith as the Usherette and Karen Moore as the Narrator—plus a full ensemble of fabulous Transylvanians—this production promises to be an epic live musical event.
Under the dynamic direction of Rachel Klein and Kimo Apaka, the cast brings The Rocky Horror Show’s beloved characters to life with energy and flair. With bold choreography by Salome Douglas and powerful vocal direction by Jacelyn Auna, this production promises to capture all the outrageous spirit and irresistible music that has made the show a fan favorite.
